Zenith's Automation Systems can Reduce Required Labor over 95%

Zenith Ultrasonics offers 2 different styles of automation systems for parts washers and ultrasonic cleaners to ensure that both high and low-volume applications can be adequately addressed.   Both automation system designs can be added to our line of multi-tank parts washers, single-tank ultrasonic cleaners, or other parts washer designs to fully automate the cleaning, rinsing, and drying process.  And, best of all, Zenith's automation system options are less costly than you may think!!

Operators place baskets of parts onto a Load Conveyor, select a Recipe of Operation, and activate the system using a touch-screen control panel.  The automation platform will transfer baskets through the ultrasonic cleaning, rinsing, drying, and all other parts washing processes fully automatically.  Upon completion, baskets are unloaded onto the 3-station unload conveyor for removal.  Systems include features such as light curtain safety devices, Light Signal Towers to indicate system conditions from a distance, Programmable Logic Controllers for the best possible system control, and other exclusive standard features which separate the Zenith designs from all competitive automation systems.

The TRANSTAR Automation System is a single-basket automation system that transfers 1 basket at a time.  This design is suitable for lower volume cleaning applications where high speed cleaning is not required.  Baskets are moved one at a time through the process.  Although only 1 basket is moved, the system includes the capability to address multiple baskets simultaneously.  The TRANSTAR is delivered FULLY PROGRAMMED WITH YOUR CUSTOM PROCESS, ready to use.  Most competitive system require that you develop and program your own process once the system is delivered.  Other features include a 3-station automatic gravity indexing load and unload conveyor, light signal tower to indicator processing conditions from a distance, automated dryer tank covers, easily accessible components for service or maintenance requirements, stainless steel frame design which is attached to the main processing system, and a host of other features.

The MBT Multiple Basket Transfer System processes parts faster by transferring ALL baskets simultaneously, in less than 20 seconds!  This is a significant improvement over single-basket transfer.  Not only is this system much faster, but it also includes improved cleaning capabilities at no additional charge.  Since each tank includes an isolated oscillation platform, all wet cycles include oscillating agitation to greatly improve the cleaning results.  This can drastically improve both cleaning speed, and effectiveness.  Intermittent Oscillation removes the contaminants that were loosened by the ultrasonics, but remains trapped inside of detailed part areas, blind holes, or other areas subject to contaminant entrapment.  Operators can program oscillation for any amount of time in all wetted tanks, and can adjust the oscillation speed and stroke length as well.  This is the most advanced, highest speed automation system available anywhere.

Zenith has manufactured automation systems with load capacities over 2000 pounds for each batch load, as well as ultra-precision cleanroom automation on a smaller scale to process critical components to absolute zero residue finish.

Both parts washer automation systems are controlled with touchscreen operator interface panels and Programmable Logic Controllers.  Optional PLC upgrades, such as Allen Bradley, GE FANUC, and others are available.  Other standard features include Recipe of Operation functions, full manual component control, precision linear shaft motion guidance components, accuracy to less than 1mm, and all stainless steel wetted components.
